Announcing the Judging Panels for the 2024 Chronos Sustainability Prizes at LSE
The Chronos Sustainability Prizes at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) are awarded annually to undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Department of Geography and Environment who demonstrate academic excellence and commitment to making an impact in sustainable business, finance and environmental policy.
LSE undergraduates undertaking the course GY326 (Sustainable Business and Finance) and postgraduates on the course GY420/GY465 (Environmental Regulation: Implementing Policy/Concepts in Environmental Regulation) are eligible for the prizes. As part of these courses, the students prepare a brief on a key issue of sustainability significance or concern. These briefs explain the relevance of the issue, summarise what is known about the issue, and offer policy recommendations to key stakeholders such as regulators, investors and companies.
The prizes are awarded to the students whose analysis and recommendations are considered to have the greatest potential to make a positive social or environmental impact.
The prizes are judged by internationally recognised practitioner experts from a mix of finance, industry, NGO, public policy and regulatory backgrounds. Table 1 presents the judging panels for the 2024 prizes.
The prize winners will be announced in May 2024.
