Chronos Sustainability appoints Amanda Williams to lead Communications Strategy

CHRONOS SUSTAINABILITY APPOINTS AMANDA WILLIAMS TO LEAD COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY

Chronos Sustainability, a specialist sustainability advisory firm has named Amanda Williams as Director of Communications. Chronos provides strategic advice and support to investors, companies, governments and other stakeholders to deliver transformative, systemic change in the social and environmental performance of key industry sectors. In this newly-created role, Williams joins Chronos’ growing team of professionals who have strong track records in responsible investment, corporate responsibility and academic research.
Williams was previously Head of Corporate Communications at Insight Investment where she was responsible for the firm’s global media communications strategy including its highly-respected and award-winning responsible investment proposition. She has almost 20 years’ communications experience in the finance sector, 14 of which were spent at Insight. Prior to Insight, she was a media communications, events and sponsorship specialist at Skandia.
Dr Rory Sullivan, Co-Founder and Director, Chronos Sustainability said: “Effective communications and engagement with key internal and external stakeholders is essential if companies and investors are to play their role in enabling the transition to a more sustainable economy. Amanda’s skills and expertise in corporate reporting, in responsible investment reporting and in press communications will help us to accelerate and scale up the programmes we currently lead.”
He added: “Investors are key agents of change. Amanda will ensure that Chronos engages effectively with investors as partners in our programmes, and will also help responsible and sustainable investors to engage more effectively with their key stakeholders and audiences.”
